Trekking at Torres del Paine National Park
Our ancestors walked to hunt or to travel. Today, now the motivations are different: we walked because it is entertained! Physical activity in beautiful places, contact with the nature, exploration and discovery of different places. Our trekking tours are that: entertainment.
· Torres del Paine
We will know the main attractive of Torres del Paine National Park, trekking between 4 or 7 hours per day. The tour that we offer is denominated "W" and includes the Lake and Grey Glacier, the French Valley, "Paso de los Cuernos" and "Ascencio" Valley. The trip is very comfortable considering lodging in our exclusive Eco-camp and during all the trekking it is not necessary to take load.
The footpaths of Torres del Paine National Park are between the more classic routes of trekking of the world and we will be able to observe moving views of Patagonia landscapes: glaciers, rivers, lakes, forests and abundant flora and fauna that provide a constant change of scenes and experiences. During the summer (Nov-Mar) the day has 18 hours of light, which will provide the explorers sufficient time to cross the Park during the days that the tour lasts.
This 7 days program also locally called the "W" includes some of the most memorable landmarks of the Park: the lake and Grey Glacier, the French Valley, "Paso de los Cuernos" and the "Ascencio" Valley.
Trekking do not have technical difficulty nor are physically too demanding, nevertheless the custom is due to be in a good physical state and be used to walk distances of up to 20 km daily.
Day 1
Santiago- Punta Arenas- Puerto Natales
Departure from Punta Arenas Airport (After boarding the first flight to Santiago 07-08 am).From here we will travel in a comfortable Van to our Eco Camp al Torres Del Paine. Along the journey we will make a stop to visit Milodon Caves and Enjoy a Box Lunch.
At the arrival to Torres Del Paine an exquisite welcome dinner will wait for us in our central dome that counts with heating.
Day 2
Torres Del Paine - Pehoe
Departure to Torres del Paine National Park until Grey Lake where trekking will start along the peninsula with the same name towards the balcony, from there we will have a beautiful sight of the Grey Glacier. After a Lunch on the route, we will return to the Administration of the Park by car and practice a short trekking (2 hrs) till "Pehoe" Balconie to admire one of the most spectacular attractive of the Park, "Los Cuernos Del Paine"(The Horns of the Paine). Once at Pehoé Lake shore we will make a soft walk until Salto Grande a waterfall that empty their waters of Nordenskjold Lake within Pehoé Lake.
At 18:00 we will aboard the Catamarán ship that travel trough the Pehoé Lake to arrive to our luxury camp where we will have a delicious dinner and lodging in wide tents.
Day 3
Torres del Paine (Glacier Grey)
Trekking to Grey Balcony (3 hrs) or Hill Grey Glacier (depending on the physical shape of the group). The view from this place is astonishing with several icebergs floating in the lake. Depending of the physical condition of the persons and the climate we can continue towards the glacier Foots .Returning to the Pehoé Camp to have a dinner and lodging.
Day 4
Valle del Frances (Valley of the French)
8 Km. trekking (2,5 - 3,5 hours) to the Italian Camp, to continue ,in a round tour towards the balcony of the French ( 3 Km. /1,5-2,5 hrs.). From the Italian Camp we will follow the French River towards the balcony, that faces the French Glacier and from where we will obtain a beautiful view of the nearby lakes. Subsequently to "Los Cuernos" (The Horns) refuge, comfortable and Cozy Mountain refuge, where we spend the night.
Day 5
Paso Los Cuernos
This is a relatively simple trail by the north side of Norsdenjolk Lake. This path takes its name by the Fact that it runs under Paine Horns. Lodging at "Las Torres" Cascada Eco Camp.
Day 6
Valle Ascencio
The trekking (10 Km, 8 hours) will lead us until Torres del Paine Foots, since here we will be able to admire the most known attractive of the National Park. The famous Torres del Paine it consists in three granite monoliths 2900m/9400 f. high.
Once at the camp we enjoy a lamb roast prepare at Patagonia style to celebrate the last night of this tour. Lodging in "Las Torres" Cascada Eco Camp.
Day 7
Puerto Natales - Punta Arenas- Santiago
Early in the morning we will travel to Puerto Natales by car, to catch the connection with a regular bus to Punta Arenas Airport, just on time to catch the flight to Santiago.(18:00 hrs approx.)
· El Cañi (Pucón )
For those that enjoy the summer in Pucón, this beautiful Trekking tour is recommended we will visit ancient spots dominated by the Araucarias, Which specie data from 200 million years on Earth. In this sanctuary we will find several Hidden lagoons of emerald color next to native trees, rivers, woods and lakes of the region.
