To only 1 hour (60 km.) from Santiago, the descent in raft by the Maipo River is a classic for the enthusiasts of the Rafting. The journey contemplates 15 km., with exciting rapids Class III and IV.

The Maipo is the most important river of the Central Region of Chile.
Source of water for Santiago and of life for the drawer that forms,
Maipo River offers some of the most exciting rapids in this part of Chile.
It is framed by incredible landscapes, during this raft descent you will be seduced by the white waters and to become in another lover of this sport of nature.
It starts in San Alfonso area and finishes in San José de Maipo. 15 km
approximately of exciting and entertained rapids that we will descent in 2 different
schedules every day.
· Maipo High
The best raft descent of Chile winter! The winter is also the rafting season and
in the high section, we descent Maipo Alto since some Kilometers up of San Gabriel
to San Alfonso, 16 kms. of class IV and IV +. Unforgettable! This section is carried out only between the months of March and October.
The rafting in the Maipo High is one of the better sections class IV+ that
can be found in Chile for be commercially descent. The best Winter Rafting of Chile!
2.Rafting and Kayak - Futaleufú River
Futaleufú River is one of the most famous rivers of the world to practice rafting.
The water of this river is of an unusual turquoise color,
of high transparency and pleasant temperature. Rapids Class IV and V.
Futaleufú River, located in the north zone of the Chilean Patagonia,
is a spectacular place for the lovers of the nature and the adventure;
the mountains, rivers, lakes and forests are the ideal scenery to practice trekking,
mountain biking, fishing, horseback riding and explorations. Nevertheless, the Futaleufú
is one of the most beautiful and defiant rivers for whom enjoy rafting. The water of
this river is of an unusual turquoise color, of high transparency and pleasant
temperature. The river flows from east to west since a series of lakes in Argentina
crossing a string of beautiful mountains crowned by glacier and eternal
snow in the Chilean side. During February, the river Futaleufú
is a river of great volume, ideal for the descent in raft.
The sections of the Futaleufú River
Futa High
It is the oriental section of the river that runs trough enormous rock walls,
forming what we know as "El Cañon del Infierno"(Canyon of the Hell)
(that contains rapids Class IV and V like: Purgatory, Dance of the Angeles,
Scale of Jacob and Hell. Once we leave the canyon, we will find a beautiful
valley; called Valley of the Scales. It is here where we find the famous rapids
called "Zeta" (class 5.2 to 5.3) and the Throne (class 5.2). This section finishes
with a series of rapids class IV called "La Cabalgata Salvaje".
Futa Medium
From the exit of the Futa High to the "bridge of cement". This it is a fun
section, with innumerable rapids class III and IV, all of them very large, what makes
this section the favorite of ours passengers. The famous rapid of the series is called
"Terminator", a class V of more than 800 meters of length
(this is, surely, one of the class V most long and intense that are commercially
descent everywhere), the "Himalayas", class III, three enormous waves placed one after
another - that some passengers enjoy practicing a swimming descent - and Mundaca,
in honor to Mr. Mundaca, owner of the piece of land set against this Pit class V.
Futa Low
From the "bridge of cement" to House of Stone. This section
includes the rapids known as "More or Less", class IV and the technician "House of Stone", class IV to V, whose name due to the enormous rocky formations that sprout as enormous fists in the half of the river.
Day 1
Puerto Montt - Chaitén - Futaleufú
Departure from Puerto Montt Airport just in time to take the connection charter flight to Chaitén. We fly above the spectacular mountains and fiordos of this beautiful region. We land in Chaitén and we transfer in vehicle by the Southern Highway, to Futaleufú to our exclusive lodge, especially paymaster for this expedition. It will be utilized during all the stopover as camp base. In the afternoon there is sufficient time to walk, to rise the adjacent hills, to take a nap, or simply to rest.
Day 2
Futaleufú Low
This will be the first day in the river. After breakfast, the guide leader will give a technical and security chat to all the participants. We will practice these techniques before descending the largest rapids. Since "bridge of cement" to Stone House , this section includes the rapid known as "More or Less", class IV and the technician "House of Stone", class IV to V, whose name due to the enormous rocky formations that sprout as enormous fists in the half of the river. The descent besides exciting and beautiful, allows coaching the team for the next days.
Day 3
Futaleufú Medium
We will enter to upstream river of Terminator and descent 8km to the "bridge of cement". This it is a full of fun section with innumerable rapids class III and IV, the favorite of our passengers. We will go trough The most famous rapid "Terminator", a class V of more than 800 meters of length (surely one of the class V, commercially descent in the world), the "Himalayas", class III, three enormous waves placed one after another- that some passengers enjoy practicing a swimming descent - and Mundaca, in honor to Mr. Mundaca, owner of the piece of land set against this enormous hole class V.
Day 4

Day 5
Futaleufú - Puerto Montt
Return to Chaitén, to take the flight to Puerto Montt.
