Outdoor Activities

GO PUCON offers a large variety of outdoors activities in one of the most picturesque mountainous area of Chile at Rio Maichín shore in front of Malalko Falls, in a valley surrounded by high mountains.

Programs

1. CABURGUA EYES + HOT SPRINGS

Leave Pucón in the direction of Caburgua Lake and after 15 kilometers turn left. After 500 meters you will be at "Los Ojos del Caburgua", the eyes of the Caburgua. These are a group of deep holes filled from the underground waters of Caburgua Lake. They are surrounded by a jungle wich vegetation have a magnificent turquoise color.

2. HUERQUEHUE NATIONAL PARK

Visit Caburgua Lake and Huerquehue National Park, located 36 kms from Pucón, until Tinquilco Lake, beautiful place surrounded by native forests with a variety of local fauna and flora.

3. TREKKING TO VILLARRICA VOLCANO CRATER

With 2.847 meters of high Villarrica Volcano is one of the most active volcanoes of South America, it provides spectacular views of Villarrica Lake, Calafquen and others.

4. VILLARRICA VOLCANIC CAVES

Volcanic Crater extinguished two millions of years ago, 1.200 meters explored and 200 meters deep. An excursion of 45 minutes by 650 meters of illuminated path and guided for an expert.

5. VILLARRICA VOLCANO AND SKI CENTER

Visit Villarrica volcano and its ski centre, to the base of the cafeteria, where Juncalillo ferry cable starts.

6. MAPUCHE INTERCULTURAL VILLAGE TRAWUPEYÜM - CURARREHUE

Visit the Mapuche museum of Pucón, a real witness of the time, and mapuche cultural centre located in Curarrehue just 40 km. away from Pucón.

7. 4 x 4 EXCURSION - VILLARRICA NATIONAL PARK

Excursion in a 4x4 vehicle to Villarrica National Park crossing between Villarrica and Quetrupillán volcanoes by the Park to Chinai area reaching the shore of Calafquen Lake.

8. CITY TOUR - PUCÓN

A nice walk for the city, visiting commercial centres, Handcrafters in wood flowers, Weapons square, casino, Grande Beach, boat port, monastery and Queule runway at Trancura river.

9. MENETÚE HOT SPRINGS, HUIFE OR LOS POZONES

This place is the ideal site to relax and have a health trip. There are five thermal pools; three of them are in the open air and two are covered and equipped with hydromassage devises.

10. GEOMETRIC HOT SPRINGS

Departure from Pucón to Lican Ray spa it is situaded along Calafquén Lake shore until Coñaripe town.

Rafting in Trancura River

Rafting in Trancura River is one of Pucón`s most attractive activities. This river of clear wild waters is famous worldwide. It runs from east to west, along steep, ravines and valleys. Two types of rafting can be practiced: Low Trancura or High Trancura .
