Island, located in the exotic Polynesia, offers a cultural encounter, the charm of white beaches, warm and crystalline waters, and extraordinary volcanic geography. We will use as the base Hanga Roa and we will go out each day by vehicle or foot to visit different interest places.

Easter Island

Easter Island, the most aisled on the planet, it is located in the middle of the pacific ocean , 3000 Km from the chilean coast, discovered at 1772 by Jacob Roggeven a Holland Admiral. Actually the island has 2764 habitants, most of them are Polynesians.
This program its ideal for less active travelers, that enjoy walking outdoors and comfort during the travel. Lodging at Hanga Roa`s Inn and during the day we will make excursions that will combine walking and car transportation to explore the island and its fascinating culture.

Day 1
Santiago - Easter Island

Transfer to the airport to catch the flight to Easter Island (3 1/2 hours). We will be received by local guides and walk few minutes to Hanga Roa town.

Day 2
Rano Kau - Orongo - Vinapu

Tour by the island early in the morning. First stop at Tahai and the petroglyphs cave, later we will drive to Kau Volcano, the biggest at the island which crater is now a beautiful lake. At this place we will have and exceptional view of three little islands nearby: Niu, Motu and Kao-Kao where the bird man ritual were carried out.
We will find here too Orongo Village ruins. The Tour continues Hill Vinapu, trough Vahi A Tare. At Vinapu we will find the Ahu Tahira, a rectangular platform of stone where the moais were erected.

Day 3
Rano Raraku

Visit to Rano Raraku Volcano. This is one of the most astonishing places in the island. Here the Moais were sculpted in volcanic rock at the base of the volcano, 150 figures still remain here, in different states of completion. We will continue our long trip to visit an Ahu of 15 Moais.

Day 4
Ahu Akivi

We will visit the Ahu Akivi a ceremonial centre where 7 impressing moais are located. In the environs we will find several volcanic caves to explore.

Day 5
Poike - Ovahe - Anakena

The tour starts visiting Poike, a different Ahu of Moais. We will drive to the Virgin Cave, to finish later at Ovahe beach, a little bay where we will spend some hours swimming or enjoying the wonderful landscapes. Later we will visit Anakena Beach, the legendary place of Hotu Matua, the founder of the island.

Day 6
Easter Island - Santiago

Layover morning to take rest. In the afternoon we will catch the flight that return to Santiago.
