From Puerto Montt there are different companies that fly to Chaitén, where you will be picked up and taken to the Hotel at Yelcho in the Patagonia, this is a 60 minute ride.

Arriving to Yelcho by Car
From Santiago, take route 5 to Puerto Montt, where you can get on a Transmarchilay or Navimag fairy to Chaiten.

In the summer you can keep on going on the Southern Highway to Hornopiren, at this place you can go on board the fairy as you get to Caleta Gonzalo.

Another alternative is to go on board the fairy in Quellon and arrive in Chaitén. From Chaitén it is almost an hour drive to Yelcho in the Patagonia.

Arriving to Yelcho through Argentina
Another option is to cross over from Osorno to Bariloche (248 Kms.), from Bariloche to Esquel (298 kms.). Then, from Esquel you cross over to Futaleufu (73 kms.) and from Futaleufu to Yelcho in the Patagonia (104 kms). The road is paved except for the last 120 kms.
