National Reserve Clarillo River
The National Reserve of the Clarillo River, is located in the premountain range of the central area to the Santiago southeast, in the commune of Pirque.
This reserve has an approximate of 13.185 hectares. The main attractiveness that the reserve presents is the Clarillo River, it is from where the name came, the water of the river supply to the communes of Pirque and Puente Alto, that it is the main axis of the the reserve.
It presents an endless species of trees, fauna and flora among others.
It also works like a refuge to many of the species that are in extinction.
The reserve offers all the equipment for picnic, but it does not count with places to camp and the visit of the park is made only during the day.

House of Lo Matta
La casa presenta las características de una casa antigua con muros gruesos de adobe, pilares en los corredores, faldones de tejas de arcilla, las rejas trabajadas en hierro en las ventanas y algunos otros elementos que caracterizan esa estructura rural del periodo hispano en la zona central de Chile.
The House of Lo Matta, is a construction of two independent floors, to the way of the Spanish farmhouses whose model is introduced to Chile in the second half of the XVIII century.
The house presents the characteristics of an old house with thick walls of marinate, pillars in the runners, clay roofing tiles, the grates worked in iron in the windows and some other elements that characterize the rural structure of the Hispanic period in the central zone of Chile.

Plaza de Armas
In the beginnings of the colony, the Plaza de Armas, was not nothing else that an open place where all the festive activities were made, solemn and strategic of the city, it was the most important part of the city because all the people met there so it was the point of the city from where all the activities were made.
This design corresponded to Spain, because it imposed this tradition in all America. With the years this tradition began to change and they went modifying new rallying points according to the event that was going to be made.
According the changes and modifications that the population start to suffer, the "Plaza" also began to change, one of the first modifications that were made was the beginning of the garden, that before at the time of the colony did not exist. With the passing of the time it began to undergo all the transformations, that at the moment the "Plaza" presents and these aesthetic changes of the "Plaza" have allowed to revalue downtown.
La Moneda
The House of the La Moneda in Chile, it is an institucion that comes to be the oldest in Chile.
It`s origins go back to previous periods to their own independent life. This is one of the most interesting places to visit, because from this place the economic movement of the city is born.

Cerro San Cristóbal
The Cerro San Cristóbal it is the highest hill of Santiago, this comes to be part of the Metropolitan Park, this park is one of the more frequented local centers, for sports and other activitie during the weekend.
From the top of the hill you will be able to see a complete view of Santaigo, that comes to be the greatest attractiveness and also it has one sanctuary of the Virgin of the Immaculate Conception.

Metropolitan Cathedral
The history of the Metropolitan Cathedral is the following one, firstly it began being called Iglesia Mayor de Santiago, and this was founded by Pedro de Valdivia, after a few years it became the Metropolitan Cathedral under the mandate of the Pope Pio IV, who by bull, the 27 of June of 1561, choose Santiago to create the new arquidiosis and Mayor Church like a the new seat of the archbishopric.
Inside the main altar is made of marble with applications of bronze, the ships have iron covers, the ceiling is constituted of a vault of tube supported on pillars, the wood is of Oregon pine and the constituted slab is drawn with geometric figures. This cathedral is considered one of the greatest tourist attractiveness, and this is for the beauty of the incredible cathedral.

Plaza Italia
Plaza Italia contains a monument symbolizing the friendship of the Italian and Chilean peoples, dating from 1910. There is nn engraved plaque that reads: ‘A la amistad Italo-Chilena’ (To Italian-Chilean Friendship). The ltalian Institute for Foreign Trade presented the marble decoration of this statue symbolizing the friendship of our peoples to the Italian colony in Chile and the City of Santiago.
The Italian sculptor Roberto Negri was in charge for casting this bronze sculpture representing a standing angel with a torch as a symbol of the future, and a lion representing the Chilean people bursting its chains to achieve independence.
Plaza de la Constitución
Plaza de la constitución is a big public area in front of the north side of the Palacio de La Moneda. Precisely here, every other day between 10:00 and 10:30 hours, takes place the spectacle of the Changing of the Palace Guard. Here is important feature, the monument to Diego Portales.
Around the Plaza stand a number of significant buildings. Located on the corner of Teatinos and Moneda streets is the Ministerio de Hacienda (1933) and at Teatinos and Agustinas stands the Hotel Carrera (1934), both works of the architect Smith Solar. In Calle Agustinas you should note the Diario La Nación building; Located on the east side of the Plaza (Agustinas corner of Morandé) stands the imposing monolith of the Banco Central (1927).
Just here you can take a bus in Calle Teatinos at the corner of Agustinas, or walk down to the corner of Teatinos with the Alameda, where you can find public buses and La Moneda Metro Station.
Ex-Estación Mapocho
It was declared National Monument in 1976. Work of the architect Emilio Jecquier, constructed in 1912 as a terminal of trains to Valparaiso and the city of Mendoza in Argentina. Here stands the facade with three baroque arcs and the metallic structure of the vault that served to cover the space with the platforms. In 1987 it let act as like railway Terminal and began to be a center of exhibitions and artistic events.
