XV Region of Arica and Parinacota

The XV Region of Arica and Parinacota is one of the fifteen regions of Chile.
Because of its location, it borders at north on Peru, at south on I Region of Tarapacá, at west on Bolivia and at west on The Pacific Ocean.

It has an area of16.873,3 km² and 189.692 inhabitants approximately to 2006.
This region comprises Arica and Paricanota provinces; Arica was considered the regional capital.
