Valley of Casablanca
A few decades ago, the valley of Casablanca was a great extension of rolling pin camps. It was the ecologist Pablo Morandé who saw the vineyard potential of the zone. This valley receives the cool breeze from the sea in a slow and gradual process that concentrates and intensifies the tastes and aroma of grape plantations.
There are many vineyards here, and some of them have been organized into a so called “Route of the Wine”: Salvi, Indómita, William Cole, Quintay, Monrandé, Villard, Veramonte and Casablanca.
It has modern hotels and restaurants.
A round trip through the vineyards of the Casablanca valley will take 160 kilometers from Santiago. Currently, some vineyards can be visited and it is also possible to taste the wines and get information about the process of elaboration.
