Vicuñas National Reserve
Distance: 215 Kilometers away from Arica
Vicuñas reserve, a place rich in autochthonous flora and fauna with an enormous
quantity of flamingos and vicuñas. It has besides varied animal species
(quirquinchos - kind of armadillos of the Puna, chingue royal, puma, red cat,
the condor, kiula or partridge, aguilucho, juarjal - a kind of duck).
It has a surface of 209.131 hectares. Its great surface characterizes by extensive
plains and steep reliefs where they emphasize the hills Arintoca and Puquintica.
