Vicuņas National Reserve
Distance: 215 Kilometers away from Arica
The Vicuñas Reserve is a rich place in terms of autochthonous flora and fauna with an enormous quantity of flamingos and vicuñas. It also counts with varied typical animal species like quirquinchos (a kind of armadillos of the Puna), chingue royal, puma, red cat, condor, kiula or partridge, aguilucho and juarjal ( a kind of duck).
It has a surface of 209.131 hectares. Its great surface is covered by extensive plains and steep relieves where the hills of Arintoca and Puquintica are situated.
