Pucón, which means "entrance to the mountain", is located 28 kilometers from Villarica.
It is a zone of abundant fishing and precious wooden craftsmanship. One of the most important lake spas of Chile is placed in the city.
It is a popular tourist point. There is a great variety of hotels, camping areas, restaurants and casinos. Besides, there is a ski-center in the Volcano.
It is interesting to visit: the Palguin, Huife, San Luis and Menetue Hot Springs.

This park is positioned between the Villarrica Lake and the volcano of the same name, with steeped slopes. These are places of incomparably beautiful scenarios, numerous lakes and lagoons with crystal clear waters, surrounded by pure stands of Araucaria, lenga, tepa, mañío (maniu), roble (oak tree) and coigüe. This is an excellent destination for tourists, lovers of nature and outings.
Here there are three trails, one of which is self-guided that permit to travel and discover the charms of among others lakes Tinquilco Verde, Toro y Chico; Lagoons Clara, Huerquehue, Las Avutardas, Las Mellizas, Las Mercedes, Pehuén and Sin Nombre; el Cañadón del Río Renahue; Río Nevados valley; and Quinchol, Araucano and Comulo hills.
· CABURGUA LAKE
The origin of this lake is volcanic and it has an enlarged shape. Its surface is 53 m2 and it is surrounded by hills of rainforests and by volcanoes such as the Villarrica Volcano. It has warm, transparent and quiet waters making of Playa Blanca and Playa Negra the most frequented visited resorts of the regions. They are ideal for family tourism, because the slope of its fields are very low so children can enjoy swimming in the lake without any danger.
One of the main attractions of the zone is the Ojos del Caburgua, a beautiful group of wells surrounded by forests, from where underground waters of the lake flow away.
To the west of Caburgua Lake and next to the Huerquehue National Park, are San Sebstian del Río Blanco Thermal Springs.

Playa Grande. A fine sand beach, the most visited place here is at the Great Hotel Pucón. The harbor is also placed there where you will be able to rent sailboats.
Playa Blanca A beach of white sand and warm, calm and transparent waters. You can rent boats and water bikes. A path of 3 kilometers, along the coast, connects Playa Blanca to Playa Negra.
Playa Negra. This beach is visited during summer. It possesses tourist services, camping areas and boat rentals. On playa Negra, The Corporation of Parks is situated; it offers camping trips within the protected area of Namuncahue.
