Bernardo O´Higgins National Park
Bernardo O´Higgins National Park, with a total surface of 3.524.648 hectares, is the biggest National Park in Chile.
By sailing along the Seno of Ultima Esperanza, as far as the great Balmaceda and Serrano Glaziers, it is possible to appreciate the woods where hundreds of sea lions rest, as well as enormous quantities of cormorants. This journey should be done in small vessels from the pier of Puerto Natales.
During this trip, the launch approaches the Balmaceda glazier and then, it stops at the Serrano glazier where you can get off board and walk over the woods. In the sector of Punta Barrosa, near the cliff, condors and eagles fly over the foliages of the trees; besides, there are particular places where wolves abound.
Passing Punta Naufragio, to the left hand side, there is the way to Puerto Bellavista; to the right hand side, there is Puerto Toro, a small dockyard placed at the foot of the Serrano Glazier.
Another interesting sea voyage can be done towards the Mountains Channel by appreciating the unique beauty of the Kirke pass, as well as watching many amazing glaziers.
