Third Region of Chile

Copiapo: Capital of the Third Region of Atacama

Main Activity: Mining and Fruit Growing Center

The third region is a transition between the desert and fertile valleys.

This is a region of strong contrasts where you will pass from barren plains to the richest agricultural valleys of Chile. A region composed by beautiful landscapes among range valleys and beaches.

The flowered dessert is a marvelous image, in there, in the rainy years, an impressive multitude of flowers, of all colors, blooms from the dessert.
