Tourism in Cave of the Milodon

Distance: 24 Kilometers away from Puerto Natales

Cave of the Milodon, a natural monument formed by three caverns and a rocky conglomerate called "Silla del Diablo". The scientific interest of the place is given by the finding in 1896, skins and bones of an extinct animal MILODON (Mylodon Darwini), an herbivore of great dimensions that became extinguished.

Out of its historical, scientific and cultural importance, the Cave of Milodon offers an additional attraction, that of its landscape and its natural life. It is a transition between the steppe and the wood, and additionally its typical flora. Animal life is abundant, mainly that of birds.
