It is the capital of the Cardenal Caro province and it is a main tourist center of the Fourth Region. It is an ideal beach for surfing whose spa is an important zone for this particular sport.
The bay and spa of Pichelemu are permanently visited in summer; both present several sports, fairgrounds, an intense night life and diverse restaurants.
Among its most famous beaches, it is possible to mention: Infiernillo, Hermosa, Principal and Punta de Lobos.
