City Tour to the North Coast of Valparaiso

North Coast of Valparaiso:

It comprises the coast section from Concon to the spa of Papudo to the north. It covers around 66 kilometers of coast.

Quintero. It is located 18 kilometers from Concon. It is a spa that is frequently visited because of its 16 summer beaches.

The most suited beaches for fishing are Loncura and Ritoque; at the entrance of the last one, the Club Ritoque is placed, in there, you can rent surfboards.

Horcon. It is located 27 kilometers of Concon. This is a beautiful fishermen beach that is protected by a bay and surrounded by high, closed, and tree- covered mountain sides.

Its main characteristic is its calm sea. Horcon is an important part of the tourist route from America to Punta Arenas, it means: Cuzco, Machu Pichu, Arica, Horcón and Cuaco (placed in the island of Chiloe).

Other interesting beaches to visit:

Cau-Cau. It is located to the west, beyond Horcon. This beach presents narrow and rocky shores and white sand. The sea has only small waves.

El Tebo. It is located to the west, beyond Cau-Cau. This beach presents narrow and rocky shores and white sand. The sea has only small waves, so it is ideal for scuba diving.

Larga. It is located to the north of Horcon. This beach presents narrow and rocky shores. The sea has only small waves.

Playa Quilliruca. It is located to the north rim of the Larga Beach Horcon.

Maitencillo. It is located 42 kilometers from Concon. It is a spa placed on a narrow and long sector. The houses are situated at the foot of a cliff that reaches the sea. Its summer beaches are popular: Aguas Blancas, Los Pocitos and Abanico.

In the Aguas Blancas beach, the tourist complex “Marbella Resort”, with an extension of 270 hectares, is situated.

Cachagua. This is a spa which is situated to the north extreme of the region. It is well known thanks to its wood houses with roofs made of lime.

Zapallar. It is a spa that is placed in a small and closed shell-shaped cove which is surrounded by mountains. It is considered a privileged zone of the coast. Zapallar has a variety of trees, beautiful summer houses and gardens. It is interesting to visit here:

Papudo. A traditional spa that is located next to an opened bay and it is protected by mountains whose rocky walls protect the place from the wind.

This is an excellent place for nautical sports thanks to its calm waters beach.
