City Tour to the Coast North of Valparaiso

Coast North of Valparaiso:

It comprises the coastal section from Concon to the spa Papudo (north). Around 66 kilometers of coast.

Quintero. Located at 18 kilometers from Concon. A spa city that is characterized by its 16 summer beaches.

For fishing from the shore the most suited beaches are Loncura and Ritoque. At the entrance of the latter one is the Clubs Ritoque where you can rent surfboards.

Horcon. Located at 27 kilometers of Concon. A beatiful beach of fisherman protected by a bay and surrounded by high, closed, and tree- covered mountain sides.

It is characterized by having a calm sea and a little beach at the cove. Horcon is an important part of the turistical route from America to Punta Arenas: Cuzco, Machu Pichu, Arica, Horcón and Cuaco in the island of Chiloe.

It is interenting to visit the beaches:

Cau-Cau Beach. Located in the west, beyond Horcon. Of narrow and rocky shores, it has a narrow strip of thick, white sand. The sea has only small waves.

Playa El Tebo. Located in the west, beyond Cau-Cau. Of narrow and rocky shores, it has a narrow strip of thick, white sand. The sea has only small waves, ideal for scuba diving sport.

Playa Larga. Located in the north of Horcon. Of narrow and rocky shores. The sea has only small waves

Playa Quilliruca. Located at the north rim of the beach Larga de Horcon

Maitencillo. Located at 42 kilometers of Concon. A spa city of a narrow and long sector. The houses are at the foot of soundy cliff that reaches the sea full of rocks. It is characterized by its summer beaches. Playa Aguas Blancas, Los Pocitos and Abanico.

On the beach Aguas Blancas is the tourist complex Marbella Resort of 270 hectares.

Cachagua. A spa in the north extreme. It is characterized by its houses built of woods with roofs of coiron and lime.

Zapallar. Spa town in a small and closed shell-shaped cove, surrounded by sleep mountains that create a microclima. It is considered a privileged zone of the coast of Valparaíso. Zapallar has a variety of trees, beatiful summer houses and gardens. It is interesting to visit:

- Costanera La Rambla - Caleta de Pescadores - Sidewalk Avenida Zapallar - Ossandón, Concha, Vicuña and Wilson Houses

Papudo. Spa city with long tradition located next to an open bay to the north and protected by some sleep mountains that protect it from the wind to the south.

It is characterized by being an excellent place for nautical sports due to its beach of calm waters.
