Thumbs up for Carpa Manzano

A great little hotel. Admittedly few frills, but all you need from a comfortable base to stay whilst exploring the region. Staff are extremely helpful and go out of their way to ensure you have a good stay and get the most from your time in Punta Arenas (They helped me with trips to see penguins, Puerto Natales, and Torres del Paine).
The hotel itself is well run, clean, and the rooms are a good size. It is within easy walking distance to the city centre (weather permitting!) and close to many good restaurants.
I was particularly impressed with Miroslava (Manager) who was always helpful and who is well connected to hoteliers in nearby regions and can therefore help you with onward bookings.
